Some stuff I have finished

Here are some images of some of the stuff I have finished in the last few days. I have made one soap saver out of the purple cotton my SP sent me. But I forgot to take a picture of it when it was done before I started using it. But it works great and I have the vanilla scented soap my SP sent me in it. And I love it. Next is a white soap saver I made for my boys. They love it and it makes bath time alot funner and quicker. (yay me right?) And last but not least a back scrubber I made again from the purple cotton yarn my SP sent me. And it also works great.

Another round of SP

Over at Cville we have a wonderful thing we do called Secret Pals. Well I joined another round and this is some of the stuff I have recieved those far. Thank SP we love everything in both packages.

Round ripple DONE...

Yay for me its done done done. The hdc on the edge about killed my fingers though hahaha. This blanket I used 3 7oz skeins of MainStays soft yellow. And I was gonna use a lighter color green but didn't have any here so I used Red Heart soft yarn color Green Grass. I think it came out nice. It just the right size for sitting at the computer or on the couch and still have at least my legs covered. Plus the kids love sleeping on the floor with it. I am also working on a matching pillow in the green. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Yet another WIP.

In my last blog entry I brought up how crocheting just isn't as much fun unless you have a bunch of projects to choose from. Well I added another to that list. I have been meaning to work on this for a bit now and just haven't started it till yesterday. This is a blanket for my youngest son. Its a basic granny square just much much bigger. Its worked 4 rnds of the multi blue and 2 rnds of the black.

Crocheting just isn't fun....

Unless you have 8 different projects going at once. That way you always have a choice about what you wanna work on. Right now I have a DC brown afghan, a round ripple, granny squares for a blanket, plus a giant granny square blanket, and 3 kids blankets, I am working. Everytime I sit down to work on something I get to choose which one I wanna work on and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Granny Squares Yay....

After countless times of trying and ripping apart my work. I think I finally have it down how to do basic traditional granny squares. I have yet to attempt any color changes yet. I think it will be benifical for me to just practice practice pratice the basic square. Once I get that down then I will branch out and start doing color changes and such. I think part of the reason I have finally been able to do this is the round ripple that I am working on. I think being able to do that and learning the ins and outs of that has helped me big time in learning the granny square. Well off to do more.

My round ripple progress

Alrighty here. I am half way through the second skein of yarn on my ripple. And I figured I would show you the progress I have made so far. I really like this pattern. Once you get going its really simple and you don't even have to look at the pattern anymore. And it works up very quickly. I can see already I will make more round ripples. I already have a few ideas in my mind already for the future. I put a remote in the center of one picture just for size refrence.
